The Bachelor season 17's Sean Lowe recently shared an update after being attacked by the family dog, and he's still upset due to the incident. Sean, a 41-year-old TV personality and author, made his television debut during The Bachelorette season 8. When Emily Maynard sent him home after overnight dates, Sean was cast as The Bachelor. It ended up being the best thing that ever happened to him.

In 2012, Sean kicked off premiere night of The Bachelor season 17 by welcoming 25 single women to The Bachelor mansion. Among the women was a graphic designer named Catherine Guidice. Catherine ended up winning Sean's final rose, his heart, and a diamond engagement ring. The couple got engaged, then married, then went on to have three children together. About a month ago, Sean was viciously attacked by their rescue dog, and he recently shared an update.

Though The Bachelor doesn't work for everyone, the process led Sean to the love of his life. Sean and Catherine were married about a year after getting engaged on the unscripted dating series. Since then, they've been growing their family and happily raising their three children. Their happiness was shattered after multiple dog attacks made the family feel unsafe.

According to E!, the first attack took place in March. The popular Bachelor alum was cooking when the home's fire alarm went off. When he went to wave away the smoke, Moose, the boxer they'd adopted three months earlier, got aggressive and attacked SeanHe was bitten many times, and described blood squirting everywhere. Sean was rushed to the ER where he received stitches all over his arms and upper body.

Later, back at home, as the shaken family tried to figure out what to do next, the dog attacked Sean again. “We’re getting the kids in the car, and I see Moose running out the front door,” Sean explained, adding that the dog “made a beeline right at me, and just lunged and started attacking me again.” The entire story sounds like a total nightmare.

Since the attack, Sean has been working with animal control and a no-kill shelter to figure out what to do with the dog. "I have scarred arms for the rest of my life, but I can live with that," Sean said. He admitted that his wife, Catherine, sometimes catches him "cringing every once in a while" due to the trauma. Thankfully, The Bachelor season 17 alum expects to heal physically from his wounds.
