Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko's days with the Vancouver Canucks could be officially numbered with the recent contract extension of Kevin Lankinen.

Thatcher Demko has had a very difficult road that last 12 months, dealing with a potentially career ending knee injury and then eventually returning to play with a production output that has been disappointing to say the least.

Now, his days with the team could be numbered...

"Thatcher Demko (lower body) won't be making the upcoming road trip with the team, will be reevaluated when the #Canucks return from Seattle next weekend.

Cleary with this signing the Canucks have put their faith into Lankinen to be their #1 starter for the future.

The main issue is that Demko will not be able to dins himself on another team if he wants to push for a starter spot as their are not many clubs with the cap space to acquire him.
