The news around Teddi Mellencamp’s divorce keeps evolving in unexpected ways. At first, fans and outlets didn’t know what to make of her split from Edwin Arroyave. Teddi herself wasn’t keen on sharing details.
However, given the most recent update, folks can’t expect her to guard the details much longer. For those who somehow didn’t hear, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star allegedly had an affair with her horse trainer. Adding to the scandal of it all, Teddi’s horse trainer is also married.
Teddi’s friend, Kyle Richards, encouraged Teddi to tune out the noise around the divorce. One has to wonder what Kyle might think now given the added details. Regardless, Teddi seems more interested in adding to the noise than tuning it out.

On November 13, Teddi shared a selfie on Instagram. The photo showed her all glammed up while the caption read, “When you’re being pushed into the shadows always find your light.” Unsurprisingly, Teddi disabled comments on the post. She likely knew how critical comments would have been, which sort of prompts the question of why she made the post at all.
Perhaps Teddi wanted to put on a brave face for the public and show everyone the news didn’t bother her. But if the news really didn’t bother Teddi, that would be sort of problematic in its own right. The less charitable interpretation would be that she hoped to ride the wave of attention from the news. Most uncharitably of all, perhaps Teddi sees the story as her ticket back to TV.
No matter her reasons for making the post, fans have to wonder how much longer Teddi can go on without addressing things directly. Considering her line of income comes from reporting on Housewives, it would feel a little hypocritical to try and sweep this under the rug. She doesn’t have to tell the whole story, but she has to know that fans are expecting a real statement.
