Stunning Rumor Reveals Bills Interest in Chiefs' Star Receiver

The Buffalo Bills suffered postseason heartbreak once again, falling 32-29 to the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago in the AFC Championship Game. This marks their fourth loss to their arch nemesis in the last five years in the playoffs, even after retooling their squad after the Divisional Round loss a year ago.

Stunning Rumor Reveals Bills Interest in Chiefs' Star Receiver

Such continued downfall would be cause for panic and call for a reset in most situations. However, the Bills have some security in the fact that NFL Most Valuable Player Josh Allen remains the quarterback of their team.

Buffalo has gone a few different routes in terms of establishing some playmaking help around their quarterback. This season, they put together a top 10 rushing offense supplemented by Allen's own ability on the ground.

But evidenced in their loss to Kansas City, the Bills lacked a consistent receiving threat to pressure a defensive secondary.

Now they have already gone the route of the No. 1 receiver option with Stefon Diggs, moving on from that experiment last offseason. It seems though that Allens interest may not be in a another highly touted name, but instead a key cog in his rival's offense.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, he has heard from multiple sources with the Chiefs that Allen has a desire to play with Hollywood Brown. Brown has become a favored target of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes who advocated for his signing a year ago.

If Buffalo wants to get Allen's prized target though, they will need to fend off Kansas City who also holds interest in keeping him in town. Brown has only played in four total games in the regular season and postseason because of a shoulder injury that kpt him sidelined for the majority of the 2024 campaign.

Brown will be a coveted asset once he hits free agency, meaning the Chiefs and the Bills may be competing with other teams for his services as well. Regardless, the Bills will need to work with Allen to ensure he has his ideal crop of receivers around him.

A player of his level is bound to elevate the play of his teammates, but adding more talent at this position may also alleviate some of the pressure of their quarterback.
