“That Serbia game and the France game, the way that we did it was some storybook stuff that I still can’t explain. It was just a special, special experience for your first Olympics, to close it out like that. (During) the last three minutes of the France game, those shots were a moment that you just look up to."

"The reps, shooting those shots all the time, it doesn’t really matter what the stage is. I’ve got ultimate confidence and faith in myself. I’m obviously glad they went in (laughs). Beating France in France in that environment was something I could have never imagined. I got my hardware, made sure I brought it… Memories for a lifetime.”

Curry is clearly very proud of his accomplishment with Team USA. Prior to the 2024 Olympics, Curry had not gotten the chance to represent Team USA at the Olympics. So to be able to take part in the historic tournament at this late stage of his career, and to be able to secure the gold medal was a great feeling for Curry.

On top of that, Curry also spoke about his relationship with LeBron James. The duo clicked very well and were the two best players for Team USA at the tournament. Curry noted that he had a deeper level of respect and appreciation for James, and the two formed a bond as teammates during the tournament.

Curry and James were the designated leaders of Team USA, and the two delivered at the highest level for the team. At the end of the tournament, both players were named to the Olympic All-Star 5, with James being named Olympic MVP for his heroics.

Curry was phenomenal with Team USA, starting all six games, and averaging 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 0.7 steals per game. His final two games against Serbia and France were by far his best performances, as he put up 36 points and 24 points in the two games respectively, and made big shots to help Team USA seal the win.
