Stephen Curry Gives 1 Big Warning as Golden State Warriors Prepare for Game 7

The Golden State Warriors were supposed to help Stephen Curry win one more ring as they held a 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets. However, they now find themselves at risk of blowing another 3-1 lead as the Rockets forced a do-or-die contest in front of their home fans.

The Dubs still can advance to the next round of the competition if they manage to sort themselves out. Not only do they have Jimmy Butler ready to step up and contribute on offense and defense, but the Warriors have players like Jonathan Kuminga who weren’t given a fair chance early in the series.

With the Warriors’ postseason hopes on the line, eyes eventually veer to Chef Curry. The four-time NBA champion will have to go deep into his bag of tricks to help the Dubs make it to the next round, and the man is eager to get things started.

Curry didn’t mince his words when talking about the importance of Game 7 for the Warriors and his legacy. He explained that the entire squad must be prepared to fight a gritty battle as Game 7s are rarely glamorous.

Per Heavy Sports’ Keith Watkins:

“If you don’t show up with that appropriate mentality, then you got a long vacation ahead of you,” Curry said. “You don’t want to be the team that’s packing up. We’re packing for a week. Getting on this plane to go to Texas and hopefully go to Minnesota right after. That’s the approach.”

Golden State will approach the final game of their first-round series against the Rockets with low confidence. Losing two consecutive games doesn’t do a lot for his team’s confidence,

However, they do have one of the best clutch performers on Game 7s on their roster. Curry has averaged an incredible 32.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.8 steals in the five series clinchers he played in his career. He’s also automatic from the floor, boasting a 46.7%/42.4%/92.0% shooting clip.

The Rockets will still pose a problemf for the Dubs, but Curry will make sure that the Warriors will walk away the winners.
