Spotted: Thatcher Demko sighting at Vancouver Canucks practice sparks excitement ahead of important road trip

It was announced today that superstar goalie Thatcher Demko was spotted at Vancouver Canucks practice today ahead of their big road trip, but what does this mean for his return to the team?

Vancouver Canucks goaltending has been probably been best part of the teams game so far this season. With Kevin Lankinen holding down the fort, the small amount of success they have had has come from his masterful performances. Although early, Arturs Silovs has struggled to string good games together, which is calling for many fans wanting to see Thatcher Demko return as soon as possible.

After months and months of troubling news surrounding the knee injury that Thatcher Demko is dealing with, just yesterday (October 31st), it was revealed thatDemko is "close" to returning, and it could be as soon as 2-3 weeks from now.

With him mostly skating and training at Rogers Arena, where the security and access is a lot more limited, Thatcher Demko was seen on the ice ahead of the Canucks practice with goalie coach Marko Torenius.

Although this is good news for Canucks fans, it still has not been confirmed by the team if Demko will be joining Vancouver for their upcoming road trip. From our perspective, it is highly unlikely, he will probably being staying back to continue rehabbing and skating, so that "2-3 week" timeline to return stays on track.
