Slump Over? Elias Pettersson's Hot Streak Continued with Big Game vs Chicago

Elias Pettersson's hot streak continued with a big game on Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks and it appears that his slump has come to an end.

It's been a tough season for Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson, but ever since owning up to his struggles earlier this month, rather than continuing to place the blame elsewhere, he's he's been played very well for the club.

Pettersson's hot streak continued last night as the Vancouver Canucks hosted Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks at Rogers Arena.

During last night's game, Elias Pettersson picked up a goal and an assist, along with one shot and had a faceoff percentage of 53.8 as Vancouver downed the Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 6 to 2.

Afterwards when speaking with reporters, Elias Pettersson gave a hilarious response when asked how it feels to have four goals in his last five games.

'yea, can you believe it?' Pettersson said about scoring four in his last five contests.

In a post on X, Big Head Hockey shared that in the last six games, not only does Elias Pettersson have four goals and six point, but he's also the Canucks' leader in faceoff percentage at 59.4 and third on the team in hits with 11.

'Elias Pettersson in the last two weeks:

6 games
- 4 goals
- 6 points
- 11 hits (3rd on Canucks)
- 59.4% on faceoffs (1st on Canucks)' Big Head Hockey said.

After all the struggles that Elias Pettersson went through during the first five months of the 2024-25 season, it's nice to finally see him turning things around and doing so at the most important time as Vancouver is pushing for a second consecutive appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Canucks will be back in action tonight against Utah Hockey Club and it's going to be interesting to see what Elias Pettersson has in store for this crucial game.
