Silver Minings: Tom Brady could sway the Raiders to favor Shedeur Sanders in the draft

The Las Vegas Raiders’ new minority owner is busy calling games on Fox this season. However, he will be helping the Raiders rebuild in the offseason as an adviser to owner Mark Davis. He is expected to be part of picking the quarterback of the future.

Tom Brady Ownership Teases Shedeur Sanders' Future NFL Team

One player Tom Brady has been connected to is Shedeur Sanders. They have worked out together in the past and built a good relationship over the years, which has helped the buzz about Sanders finding a way to land in Las Vegas for 2025.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports wrote a new article about the quarterback frenzy this offseason. He is hearing that Brady will push for Sanders if he is allowed to weigh in

There is a great amount of respect for Sanders’ focus on preparation, his ability to learn and adapt, his accuracy and determination in the pocket, and his toughness to take hits and still be resilient. I’ve been told that Brady has also been impressed that Sanders has avoided the pitfalls of being thrust onto the center stage of college football’s limelight after transferring to Colorado to play for his father, Deion

Of course, the problem with drafting the Big 12 offensive player of the year is that the Raiders now sit at eight. Robinson reported that the league might not be as high on Sanders and that he could fall out of the top five.

There is a counter narrative here with Sanders among some other NFL teams, who believe there’s a chance he slips out of the top five picks, either based on need or pre-draft evaluations.

If this happens, expect the Raiders to trade up before Sanders falls to eight. It will be an exciting process this offseason to see how the Raiders maneuver with the quarterback position.
