Signing Season: 8-of-11 Las Vegas Raiders Rookies Put Pen To Paper

Rookie minicamp is underway for the Las Vegas Raiders – that’s the good news. The great news is, the day ended with eight-of-11 members of Sin City’s 2025 NFL Draft class officially signing their rookie contract.

Insider explains why Raiders could pass on RB Ashton Jeanty | Yardbarker

That includes sixth-overall pick Ashton Jeanty, who scored a fully guaranteed four-year, $35.9 million contract.

The others to sign were IOL Caleb Rodgers, OT Charles Grant, DT Tonka Hemingway, DT J.J. Pegues, QB/WR Tommy Mellott, QB Cam Miller, and LB Cody Lindenberg.

Currently, the three players without an officially inked rookie deal are second-round selection Jack Bech, third-rounder Darien Porter and fourth-rounder Dont’e Thornton. Expect those signings to come in the near future as minicamp officially gets underway for the Silver and Black.

Las Vegas Raiders: In the meantime..

Ashton Jeanty met up with second-year Raiders offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson for the first time. During the 2025 NFL Draft, Powers-Johnson joined Maxx Crosby on stream to watch the big event.

Powers-Johnson was quite vocal about wanting Las Vegas to select the 21-year-old running back. And that’s exactly what happened.

On Thursday, the two got to meet in person for the first time.

“What’s up. I’m Jackson. I’m your center. Nice to meet you, man,” Powers-Johnson told Jeanty.

Although Powers-Johnson initially jumped into NFL-action at guard, he swapped to center during the Raiders’ Week 9 contest. The Oregon alum never looked back, either.

From Weeks 9-18, Powers-Johnson surrendered one sack with only nine pressures allowed. He would earn the 14th-highest pass-blocking grade and fifth-highest run-block grade during this timespan via Pro Football Focus, finishing the season as one-of-three centers with a 70-plus grade as both a run- and pass-blocker.

Not bad, right?

That’s who will be manning the middle of Las Vegas’ offensive line moving forward. If 2024 is any indication, the Raiders – and Ashton Jeanty – are in great hands in that regard.
