It seems fossil jewelry is slowly taking over the Bravo-verse — and it’s all thanks to Shep Rose.
Weeks after reuniting with Teddi Mellencamp, the Southern Charm cast member surprised his longtime friend with her very own megalodon tooth necklace. Teddi showed off the polarizing piece in a Tuesday, April 8, Instagram Story, shortly after it arrived in the mail.

“I may be tired, I may have overslept, but I’m getting things together… because look at what arrived,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said. “A large megalodon (necklace).
“I’m about to dress my entire outfit around this tooth that I got from [Shep] Rose,” she declared in another clip. “I don’t know how I’m going to carry it in my day-to-day life… but this is everything. It’s, I don’t know, 5 to 7 pounds… Megalodon! Heal me!”
Shep returned Teddi’s kind words in an Instagram repost: “You look great,” he captioned a Story. “Love you.”
Teddi jokes that her megaldon tooth will give her "powers"
According to the Natural History Museum of London, the megalodon is a prehistoric mackerel shark that lived between the Miocene and Pliocene epochs. Evidence suggests the animal went extinct about 3.6 million years ago — a detail that Teddi learned during the April 9 episode of Two Ts in a Pod.
“Well, what that means is only really f-cking special people get the megaladon,” she told her cohost, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge. “And I am now going to use its special powers.”
While Teddi was clearly digging the necklace, Tamra confessed she wasn’t in love with the look.
“I see it. I hear ya. I don’t know if I’m liking it,” the OC mom said.
“Listen, I had a little bit of bad feelings about the tooth until I wore it on my neck,” Teddi replied. “And now I feel — I feel I would be fine with this as a gift.”
Shep gives fossil tooth necklaces to his exes Taylor and Sienna
Shep’s affinity for shark teeth was highlighted in Southern Charm Season 10 when he surprised his then-girlfriend, Sienna Evans, with a fossil necklace. It was later revealed Shep had given a similar piece to Taylor Ann Green, whom he dated from 2020 to 2022. However, Shep clarified that Taylor’s necklace had a white shark tooth pendant, while Sienna’s had a megalodon tooth.
“The girl that sells them is a good friend of mine,” Shep said on the Southern Charm After Show.
Taylor credited her shark tooth necklace to Foxy Fossils, a jewelry company founded by Casey Garvin. Taylor modeled some pieces for Foxy Fossil’s website, which lists a megalodon necklace for $1,250.

But Sienna, Taylor, and Teddi weren’t the only Bravolebs who received shark tooth necklaces from Shep.
“You know who else Shep gave a megalodon tooth to other than the girlfriends?” Teddi asked during her latest podcast. “Andy [Cohen].”
That’s right, the Southern Charm-er gave the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host a megalodon tooth necklace, just as he promised during the Season 10 reunion special.
“The woman who makes the megalodon (necklaces) has made over $30,000,” Teddi claimed, suggesting Shep’s publicized gift gave Foxy Fossils a boost. “I’m wearing it all the time. Megalodon is gonna save my life. I think the megalodon needs to get around as much as possible.”
