Shep Rose defended Craig Conover after his split from Paige DeSorbo on the Southern Charm After Show.
It’s the Southern Charm-ers versus the Summer House crew as friends of Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo are going to bat for them amid the aftermath of their breakup at the end of 2024. Shep Rose, for his part, took a swipe at Paige on the Southern Charm After Show after the end of Craig and Paige's relationship played out on Southern Charm’s Season 10 finale.
“F--k it. I’ll say it. I’ll say something,” Shep told Austen Kroll. “I think it’s total f--king bullshit that Paige didn’t go on one single trip while they were dating.”
Although invited on the Season 10 trip to the Bahamas, Paige told Craig she couldn’t make it because she had "two photoshoots next week that [she] can’t reschedule.”
Shep criticized the move, calling it "incomprehensible.”
Fans may recall that Paige didn’t attend the Season 8 group vacation to St. Simons Island in 2022. Craig also organized a friend vacation in Season 9 to Jamaica in order for everyone on Southern Charm to get to know Paige, but she was unable to go.
“Work-wise, I will say it would be very irresponsible of me to just pick up and go to Jamaica for three days,” Paige said at the time.
Shep disagreed with Paige’s decisions, and said on the After Show, “I couldn’t get away with that if I had a girlfriend, I’ll tell you that much.”
Shep and Patricia feel Paige didn't get to know Southern Charm cast
Shep also questioned Paige’s commitment to getting to know Craig’s friends during the years-long relationship. “Furthermore, she didn’t film with any of us. Any of us,” he told Austen on the After Show.
He complained that most of the show moments of Paige and Craig were “like, her and Craig making breakfast, or pruning roses.”
Patricia Altschul and Ryan Albert agreed with Shep.
“Any time she’d come down here, except for a few occasions, she never made an attempt to get to know Charleston. To get to know members of the group. They were isolated,” Patricia said on the After Show.
Shep Rose defends Craig after his split from Paige
Shep was firmly on Craig’s side after the breakup played out on the Season 10 finale.
“I don’t get it. And looking back, I really feel for Craig,” he said on the After Show. “I don’t know. I don’t really have any sort of feelings about her, frankly, especially now.”
Ryan also defended Craig.
“I know he’s a great boyfriend. He’s faithful. There’s never been any talk about him not being faithful, being supportive of the women he dates,” he said on the After Show. “So I’m sure there is a girl out there for Craig that will cheer him on in his gardening and his pillow business.”
