Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has openly been flirting with the Las Vegas Raiders for over a year. He's cooled off on the obvious flirtations now that the 2025 NFL Draft is closing in but he did finally get a chance to talk about the team more directly at the 2025 NFL scouting combine.
The Raiders had both general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Caroll on the ground and Sanders revealed that he visited with them while also reiterating his interest in visiting the team in Las Vegas before the draft.
"I met with them here, I met with a lot of teams here," Sanders told reporters during a press conference. "It's truly exciting, being able to meet Coach [Pete Carroll] and everybody with the organization and staff. So, if they call me and they say, ‘Come on and visit,' you know I'll be there."
Based on these comments, it sounds like Sanders hasn't soured on the idea of joining the Raiders. He also spoke very highly of minority owner Tom Brady.
"Tom Brady, he's an all-time great," Sanders said. "Being able to have that resource, being able to have that person I'm able to talk to and call whenever I'm having questions about the game, he's able to relate to it, because he did it at the highest level. It's truly amazing. I'm thankful for that."
Sanders was one of Brady's NIL athletes and the two have formed a relationship over the years. It remains to be seen if that will factor into the Raiders' draft decision.
