Several members of the Vancouver Canucks organization are set to participate at charity even run by Troy Stecher & Kevin Bieksa this week.
Starting tomorrow, former Vancouver Canucks defencemen Troy Stecher and Kevin Bieksa will be running a charity hockey camp in Richmond, British Columbia and it looks like several members of the organization will be in attendance.
At last year's charity camp, Stecher was able to raise $20,000 in support of his TS51 Foundation and Diabetes Canada. Stecher founded TS51 Foundation to honour his father, Peter, who passed away in 2021 due to complications related to diabetes.
This year, money raised through donations at the camp and online will go to the Canadian Men's Health Foundation. This was chosen thanks in part to Kevin Bieksa, who has been a mental health advocate for many years after losing his friend and former Canuck Rick Rypien to suicide in 2011.
The Charity Pro Camp is set to get underway starting tomorrow and will run through Thursday, August 29th, with on-ice sessions taking place between 1 and 2 pm.
