The Vanderpump Rules cast member was clearly pleased with her hubby's platinum blond look.
Do blondes really have more fun? Brock Davies is beginning to find out.
In between his home renovation projects, the Vanderpump Rules dad managed to squeeze in some time to switch up his look. And, let’s just say, the change was far from subtle. On Saturday, September 14, Scheana Shay took to Instagram to show off her husband’s fresh buzzcut and platinum blond hair. That’s right, after years of rocking his natural brown locks, the former rugby player decided to join the light side.
Scheana Shay reveals Brock Davies' platinum blond hair
The photo showed the couple posing side-by-side in their Sherman Oaks home as they prepared to attend a nighttime event. Scheana wore a sleek bodycon dress with playful cutouts down the bodice, while Brock stepped out in an all-black outfit that provided the perfect contrast to his new hair. The ensemble included a short-sleeve camp collar shirt, matching pants, dark sunglasses, and patent leather shoes.
Scheana, who is no stranger to dramatic hair changes, was obviously pleased with her hubby’s new look, as she made sure to tag Brock in her Story and followed it up with a drooling emoji.
Brock declares he's in his "Hair Era"
Brock teased his refresh in a series of September 14 Instagram Stories, which showed him sitting outside a salon while wearing a smock and a plastic hair cap.
“Just out here baking…. I thought considering I’ve decided to go all the way [...] might as well,” he wrote in one of the posts. “Find out how come blondes have more fun.”
The New Zealand native returned to the ’Gram a few hours later to reveal the results: “Im just going to call this my Hair Era,” he captioned a video shot at his and Scheana’s home.
Tom Schwartz may have inspired Brock's new look
Brock isn’t the first VPR guy to go platinum blond. Back in 2023, Tom Schwartz enlisted Jo Wenberg to bleach his naturally brown hair — a move that drew mixed reactions from his castmates. While some said the dye job made him look like “dad bod Ken,” Scheana and Brock were among those who said they “liked it.”
“I’m not gonna lie: I saw [Tom’s hair] and I was like, ‘Honey, do you think I can do blond on top?’” Brock told James Kennedy on the Vanderpump Rules After Show. James agreed and admitted he also asked his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, if he could get away with the platinum blond look.
“He pulled it off,” James said about Tom’s polarizing hairstyle. “I liked it.”
“Yeah, but he was non-committal with it,” Brock replied, “and then he got rid of it.”
