The Seattle Seahawks were looking to add a third quarterback to their roster. They finally found one.

The Seahawks signed P.J. Walker, according to a report from The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The NFL now allows a third quarterback to be available during games, meaning Walker will be the team’s emergency option in case starter Geno Smith and backup Sam Howell are injured.

Walker appeared in six games - two starts - for the Cleveland Browns in 2023. He completed 54 of 111 passes for 674 yards with one touchdown and five interceptions. Walker started for the Browns when they faced the Seahawks in a Week 8 game last season.

The quarterback completed 15-of-31 passes for 248 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions during the Browns’ 24-20 loss. Walker also ran six times for 27 yards in the game.

Walker, who wasn’t drafted out of college, isn’t going to scare anyone with his career numbers. He has completed just 54.6% of his passes for 2,135 yards with six touchdowns and a whopping 16 interceptions in 21 games during his four-year career.
