Seahawks decided to move on from Cooper Kupp when they cut him in March. Two days later, he found himself back in the NFC West division, but with the Seattle Seahawks, who will look to strike gold downfield with a former rival.
Kupp’s past injuries may have diminished his capabilities on the field, but the Seahawks surely trust him enough to hand him a three-year contract worth $45 million with $17.5 million in guaranteed money.
Kupp has also started to go down to work with the Seahawks, which he flexed as well in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“New digs, same work,” Kupp wrote as the caption for the post.
The one-time Pro Bowler had 710 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 67 catches and 100 targets through 12 games in the 2024 season, his last with the Rams, with whom he won a Super Bowl ring in 2022.
Kupp’s post turned heads on social media. Many wished him the best with his new team, while others said they would havbe loved to see him stay with the Rams.
“Always a Ram.. all True Ram fans wish you and your beautiful family well..
God Speed Kuppppp,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “You fried my Seahawks for nearly a decade goat but its all okay im gonna buy ur jersey after u make the pro bowl this year.”
From a commenter: “While I hate seeing this, I still wish you nothing but the best. I’ll still be rocking a Kupp jersey at @SoFiStadium.”
“🤮wish you could have stayed a ram for life,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Can’t wait for that 1st game in September 🙏🏈💪💚💙”
Said another: “As an EWU Eags and diehard Seahawks fan, wishing you the greatest off all seasons.”
