Sean McVay pulled off a coaching masterclass last night, as he helped the LA Rams vanquish the Minnesota Vikings 27-9.

With this playoff win in the bag, the Rams move on to the divisional round to face the Philadelphia Eagles in what is sure to be a thriller.

McVay’s men made him proud tonight, with Matthew Stafford having a stellar night in particular, throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns.

Sean McVay matches franchise record

With the Rams’ win over the Vikings, they celebrate their 8th playoff win under Sean McVay. To put this into context, the Rams had won just eight playoff games in 31 years prior to McVay’s arrival.

The Rams head coach has been able to match this feat in just eight years with the franchise. This just goes to show how effective McVay has been as the head coach of the Rams.

Fans will be hoping they don’t have to wait too long for win number 9 under McVay, as the Rams face the Eagles this weekend.

Can the Rams upset the Eagles?

Despite their strong performance tonight, there is no doubt that the Rams enter their divisional game against the Eagles as underdogs.

With strong performers like Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, the Eagles have all the tools to make a deep playoff run. And while the Rams have reached a Super Bowl with Stafford at QB, they might not have the tools to overcome the Eagles.

This weekend’s game promises to be a thriller, especially if the Eagles and Rams’ wildcard round games are anything to go by.
