Are you ready for the 2025 NFL season, Seattle Seahawks fan? You should be, as maybe it is one where the team far exceeds expectations. And after Wednesday, we know the next step in the team getting ready for the new season.
That is because the Seahawks announced nine open training camp practices. Before, 12s did not know when training camp would start, other than the assumption it would be sometime in late July. That now appears to be July 23.
The first open practice will take place on that day, and will be followed by open practices on July 25-26, July 28, July 31, August 1, August 5, August 10, and August 12. The last two practices will be split between the teams first season game on August 7.
Seahawks announce dates for when fans can watch training camp
In the first preseason game, the Seahawks will take on some familiar faces. Unfortunately, that will not happen at Lumen Field. Seattle will travel to Las Vegas to play the Raiders, who are now coached by former Seattle head coach Pete Carroll, and their QB1 is former Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith.
The good thing is the game is meaningless except for the emotions involved, and Seattle's defense might not get to face Smith anyway. Most presumed starters do not play much in the preseason, and if they do, it is in fairly limited action.
Besides the open training camp practices, the Seahawks will host their annual Football Fest at Lumen Field. That will take place on August 2 at 6 pm PT. So it's almost like 10 open practices total.
The open practices also come with some caveats. They are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 23 (Season Ticket Holder Day)
- Friday, July 25 (anyone if you have a ticket)
- Saturday, July 26 (Back Together Weekend)
- Monday, July 28 (Kids Days)
- Thursday, July 31 (Season Ticket Holder Day)
- Friday, August 1 (anyone)
- Saturday, August 2 (Football Fest at Lumen Field)
- Tuesday, August 5 (anyone)
- Sunday, August 10 (anyone)
- Tuesday, August 12 (anyone)
You will need to register to attend the event, but you can do that by clicking on this link. It does get a bit cumbersome, but you also might get a good idea of which Seahawks are going to make the active 53-man roster before final cuts are made ahead of Week 1.
And there is a charge to ride the transportation, as you will need to be delivered to the VMAC for practices. It's the price one pays to be a fan.
