Seahawks Ernest Jones IV just got some next level bulletin board material after being disrespected ahead of the 2025 NFL season

The Seattle Seahawks made a big move midseason last year to acquire LB Ernest Jones IV via trade from the Tennessee Titans.

Seahawks Ernest Jones IV just got some next level bulletin board material after being disrespected ahead of the 2025 NFL season

After having to face him twice a year for the first three years of his career with the Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks got to be on the right side of Jones being a game-wrecking LB. However, it seems Pro Football Focus forgot how good he has been throughout his career and ranked him extremely low in their most recent LB rankings.

PFF ranked Ernest Jones IV embarrassingly low in their most recent LB ranking ahead of the 2025 season

PFF ranked Jones as the 30th-best LB in the NFL ahead of the 2025 season. Last year, Jones had to go through a lot of change. He was traded ahead of the 2024 season from the Rams to the Titans. Then he was traded again to the Seahawks after just six games.

Despite having to learn two defenses on the fly, he still recorded 138 total tackles, which was the second most of his career. He finished the year 10th in the NFL in total tackles. Now that he has had a full offseason with the Seahawks and will go through a full season with the team, I think we will see the best year of Jones' career in 2025. And if he does that, PFF will look very foolish for having him ranked 30th.

"In 2024, Jones was traded twice in a three-month span: from the Rams to the Titans before the season, and again in October to the Seahawks. The constant movement understandably made it difficult for Jones to get acclimated to a system, resulting in his lowest PFF overall grade as a pro.

Now with an extension in hand, Jones has some security in Seattle, where he can hopefully return to his 2023 level of play. That season, he earned 80.0-plus PFF grades as a run defender (86.2) and a pass rusher (83.1)."
