Biggest games on Seahawks' 2025 schedule

  • All NFC West games: Even if Seattle has a very good season, it's not likely going to contend for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. That makes it crucial to win the division and ensure that you get at least one playoff game at home. The NFC West should be a tight race, and the Seahawks have it fresh in their memory that they finished second last year by just a tiebreaker.
  • Week 2 vs. Steelers: Former Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf could be out for blood in this game, and Seattle will need to match that intensity. Not to mention, marching into Pittsburgh and getting a win would make quite the statement early in the season.
  • Week 18 vs. 49ers: The Niners a bit of a mystery entering 2025, but you can't count them out. This regular season finale could very well determine the winner of the division, or at the least count for wildcard seeding.

Primetime matchups with viewing/streaming info

The Seahawks have a total of four primetime games in 2025:

  • Week 4 at Cardinals, Thursday Night Football: You will have to have an Amazon Prime Video account in order to stream this game. Some local channels will still broadcast the game, but that's not a guarantee.
  • Week 7 vs. Texans, Monday Night Football: Access to ESPN or ESPN+ is required to watch this game. That can be obtained through cable, satellite, and/or streaming services.
  • Week 9 vs. Commanders, Sunday Night Football: Access to NBC or Peacock is required to watch this game.
  • Week 16 vs. Rams, Thursday Night Football: See Week 4 at Cardinals up above.

Strength of schedule (based off Vegas win totals, not 2024 record

Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis ranks teams' strength of schedule based on Juice (Vegas' projected win totals for the upcoming season). This year, Sharp has the Seahawks' SOS at 13th, which means they've actually got the 20th-toughest schedule in the NFL this season. Despite that, they're projected to win only 7.5 games this year, which definitely seems too low.

Revenge games on Seahawks' 2025 schedule

  • Seahawks vs. Vikings (Week 13): There are a couple of angles here. Quarterback Sam Darnold will be looking to take down his former team, and Seattle will want to avenge a 27-24 loss it suffered at the hands of Minnesota last season.
  • Seahawks vs. Rams (Weeks 11 and 16): The Seahawks lost a heartbreaker in overtime to L.A. 26-20, which ultimately cost them the division title. Seattle later beat the Rams in Week 18, but L.A. was resting its starters in preparation for the playoffs. On top of that, new Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp will be looking to stick it to his former team.

5 must-watch matchups

  • Seahawks' secondary vs. DK Metcalf: This is about as obvious as it gets. Metcalf will be looking to stick it to his former team, and the last thing Seattle will want to happen is to allow him to do so.
  • Sam Darnold vs. Vikings DC Brian Flores: These two know each other well from last year and will be looking to come up with some new wrinkles.
  • Cooper Kupp vs. Rams' secondary: This is the same sentiment as Metcalf going up against Seattle's secondary. Kupp would love nothing more than to punish L.A. for giving up on him.
  • Seahawks' defense vs. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels: Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has positioned his defense to be one of the better units in the league. It will be put to the test by Daniels, who could be an MVP candidate in 2025.
  • Mike Macdonald vs. Kyle Shanahan: Macdonald is one of the brightest defensive minds in the NFL, and the same goes with Shanahan on the offensive side. They split the season series in 2024, and their rivalry should heat up in 2025.
