Scheana Shay is celebrating her rainbow baby.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, the Vanderpump Rules alum, 39, shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram in honor of National Rainbow Baby Day. Shay, who had a miscarriage in 2020, smiled with her 3-year-old daughter Summer Moon, whom she shares with husband Brock Davies.

The mother-daughter duo matched in pink outfits as they smiled in two similar snaps. "My everything. My world. My rainbow baby. @summermoon you have brought me so much joy and more love than I could ever imagine," Shay began her caption.

"The day I lost my first pregnancy, my heart was broken but I told myself there had to be a reason it happened. YOU were the reason! I always had a feeling the first baby was a boy and I genuinely believe he is watching over us and paved the way for you to enter this world. I love you Summer Moon. Happy National Rainbow Baby day! 🌈."

In 2020, Shay opened up about experiencing a miscarriage on an episode of her Scheananigans podcast. The podcast host revealed at the time that she and Davies had first learned of her "miracle" pregnancy "a few weeks ago" and were surprised, considering doctors previously told her "it would be close to impossible to get pregnant on [her] own."

Shay and Davies were shocked by the positive tests and told close friends and family, but their celebrations soon turned to tragedy, starting with the Bravo star "bleeding all weekend, and it wasn't stopping."

"I wanted to put this out because a miracle did happen, and I got pregnant for the first time in my life," she said at the time of the reason she shared her story. "And although this one isn't working out and we don't know yet what's exactly gonna happen, I know that I was able to get pregnant on my own, and that alone is a miracle. And I know that this is something that's common, that so many women go through."

In 2019, Shay froze her eggs — 16 total —and previously opened up about the process during her first retrieval round.

"It was an awesome experience to see everything that goes into freezing eggs," the reality star said at the time. "My doctor highly recommended for me to do this to have a better chance at a healthy baby down the road. I have learned so much about fertility and everything that goes into freezing eggs and IVF. You never know what will happen in life."

Shay welcomed her daughter Summer in April 2021, revealing the news on Instagram. Shay announced her pregnancy news with PEOPLE in October 2020.
