The 'Vanderpump Rules' star surprised fans by returning to her JONAS roots at the Jonas Brothers’ fan convention on Sunday, March 23, 2025
Seeing Scheana Shay grace the stage at JONASCON on March 23, 2025, was a blast from the past for fans of the 2009 Disney Channel sitcom, Jonas.
Although Shay, 39, is best known today for her role on Vanderpump Rules, true fans remember the Bravo star as Maria, the pizza girl who had all three brothers — Nick, Kevin, and Joe — smitten.
Jonas, which aired for two seasons from May 2009 to October 2010, might be a distant memory for some, but Shay’s surprise cameo at American Dream mall in New Jersey on Sunday reminded everyone of her presence on the show.
Embracing her iconic role, Shay wore a white T-shirt and red baseball cap from the fictional pizza shop and took the stage to dance to the Pizza Girl song as the crowd went wild.
Shay posted side-by-side photos of herself with the Jonas Brothers on TikTok, with the caption: “The pizza girl is back! 🍕Then and now ❤️.”
In addition to her fun appearance, she shared an exciting personal update with fans. While still in character, Shay opened a pizza box to reveal her upcoming book, My Good Side.
"I had so much fun reconnecting with Pizza Girl this weekend, and she has one last special to serve up!" she captioned the TikTok video.
According to an Instagram post, the memoir digs deep into the core of who Shay is: “the good, the bad, the messy, along with the missteps and lessons learned along the way.”
Nevertheless, the reality show personality wasn’t the only one with big news at the convention. The Jonas Brothers also made headlines by announcing new music.
Joe Jonas' long-awaited solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, will be released on May 23, while the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming album, Greetings from Your Hometown, is set to drop on Aug. 8. The trio also announced a holiday movie, A Very Jonas Christmas, which will premiere on Disney+ later this year.
