There’s a feeling that Vanderpump Rules, as it was, is a relic of the past. And that signs point to cast members jumping ship. It’s not just that so many cast members, like Lala Kent and Scheana Shay, have filmed for VPR spinoff The Valley. But there are other active spinoffs that alums are seeking out. Stassi Schroeder joined Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa.
Meanwhile, the questionably tired original show and brain-child of Lisa Vanderpump, Vanderpump Rules, will start filming this fall. It’s been questioned whether Ariana Madix will even return, though she is the center of all the drama.
But speculation about who may be joining the cast could fuel new interest in Season 12. Or is a new Pump Rules spinoff in the works?
Where will the new cast members be placed on Pump Rules?
TMZ can exclusively confirm that cameras are filming at Lisa’s West Hollywood venue, SUR, over the past couple of weeks. Production crew have been spotted at the hub of VPR seasons past.
Confusion lies in the fact that the cast is entirely unfamiliar. So Bravo is taking a leap of faith with new faces, all employed at SUR. The question is, which show are they filming for?
A source close to the project claimed that it’s an entirely new program. And that current VPR members will be participating. However, the pilot has yet to be picked up. If it were, the show would be another Pump Rules spinoff.
Another theory is producers are seeking out potential additions to Vanderpump Rules for Season 12. Certainly, the current cast is struggling with morale and drama is rife. While production has been confirmed for the fall, a more specific date hasn’t been issued.
Could the Pump Rules franchise be expanding again? Is there enough interest to get to know another set of cast members? It all remains to be seen.
