Robert Griffin III sends must-see message to Commanders after loss to Eagles

The Commanders' 2024 season was put on high alert the moment they chose to select quarterback Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The LSU product was highly regarded and considered among the best prospects of the entire class, which he quickly demonstrated when he took the field in Week 1.

Daniels proved beyond any doubt that he was the quarterback of the future and would bring relevancy to Washington once again, as he impressed on a weekly basis with his athleticism and pure talent. That allowed him to put together a season recording 331/480 completions (69%) for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns to just nine interceptions.

As if that wasn't incredible enough, he led the Commanders to their first NFC Championship game in over 30 years, defying the odds of once being the worst team in football to now being considered one of the best.

Although their efforts fell short against a tough Eagles team, it's difficult not to feel good about where the Commanders are headed, which many former players are giving them credit for after the loss.

Commanders' NFC Championship loss cannot overshadow what they accomplished in 2024

While most Washington fans are devastated by the loss to the Eagles, former players are providing a voice of reason and optimism that shouldn't be ignored, considering all that the team has been through over the years.

The most noteworthy of all is former Commanders quarterback Robert Griffin III, who took to Twitter/X to share his version of how the 2024 season should be remembered, emphasizing restoration of hope for the fans as a big reason to be happy with what they have moving forward.

Griffin is spot on with how the loss should be viewed. It's not easy to find a quarterback right out of the gate, and that is what they have in Daniels. He is a frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year for a reason and arguably could be in the conversation for MVP, as well.

That immediately makes the Commanders a threat moving forward, and they now have invaluable experience from a deep playoff run. That is incredibly beneficial for a young team and could lead them even further as soon as next season.
