Teresa Giudice spoke of her daughter Gia Giudice‘s upcoming show on Bravo and admitted to feeling resentful toward her ex-husband Joe Giudice while appearing on Lala Kent‘s podcast last week.
During the interview, as she spoke of having to pay for everything for her four kids and revealed which of her girls still live at home, the 52-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star admitted to wanting a son, shared which Real Housewives shows she watches, and revealed if she regrets putting her children on television.
“Gia’s doing phenomenal. She’s doing great,” Teresa began on the December 4 episode of Give Them Lala.
She then shared that her oldest daughter would soon be starring on Bravo alongside other children from the network.
“There’s a show coming out, there’s a few Bravo children. I think Bravo did announce it already. They didn’t announce when it’s coming out but [it will be] early next year,” she revealed. “I’m excited about it. [It’s] my daughter … [Brooks Marks], Kim Zolciak’s daughter [Ariana Biermann], and I’m gonna stop there. There’s more, [but] I don’t know if [fans] know who else.”
As RHONJ fans well know, Teresa shares Gia, along with her younger sisters, Gabriella Giudice, 20, Milania Giudice, 18, and Audriana Giudice, 15, with Joe, 52. And, while she’s suggested that they have had a good co-parenting relationship in the past, she admitted to Lala, 34, that she “kind of [resents] her ex.”
“My ex made the mistake. He’s the one that didn’t file taxes and I signed one closing document for a home that he was flipping and I should’ve never signed that closing document. Just by signing those documents for that one house, I went to jail,” she explained. “[But] I walk with my head up very proud and high because I know I’m not a criminal. I didn’t actually try to commit a crime.”
According to Teresa, she knows that if she wasn’t on TV, she “would’ve never gone to jail.”
“That’s what’s sad: People judge me,” she noted.
Even though Teresa and Joe served their jail time years ago, it’s not exactly water under the bridge for them.
“Sometimes, me and Joe, we fight about it, he’s like ‘your stupid show,’ he blames me still, till today,” she shared. “And then I’m like, ‘I asked you, is everything legit, is everything good with you? If you’re not filing taxes, you dumb*ss, why you gonna tell me to go on a TV show?’ I can’t.”
“Please. It’s not my fault. It was his fault and he did it to himself,” she added.
Years later, following Joe’s deportation, Teresa said she’s taking “care of everything” when it comes to their kids.
“I do everything. [And my husband, Luis Ruelas, is] amazing too, because Joe doesn’t make the money. He’s in the Bahamas so I take care of everything,” she disclosed. “The kids have a small amount of money that Joe gives them but I pay for colleges, everything. It’s all on me. So I do it for my kids.”
“I keep the peace for them,” she continued. “But I always tell them, please don’t ever make the same mistake I did. Whoever you marry, ask a lot of questions. Don’t be like me and don’t sign papers unless you know your husband is 100 percent legit, [and] is doing the right thing.”
Although Teresa “did want a boy” during her marriage to Joe because she wanted to “see what a boy” would look like, she pointed out that she’s since found herself with two stepsons.
“We have Luis … he just turned 21,” she revealed. “We get along so good. He always tells me he loves me. He writes me the nicest cards. He’s the sweetest boy. I couldn’t ask for a better stepson … [And he] lives here.”
As for who else resides with Teresa and Luis, Teresa revealed that Gia lives with them and that Gabriella just got home from college.
“She was at the University of Michigan. And Milania’s at the University of Tampa,” Teresa explained. “[Milania]’s not coming home for Thanksgiving. She’s in the Bahamas with her dad so he only has one and I have the rest and Audriana lives here … And then Luis has another son, Nicholas, that’s 23. He has autism. He lives with his mom and we see him every weekend or every two weekends, depending on our schedule. [All the kids] get along so good.”
Also on the podcast, as she confirmed she’s watching The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five, recently saw “a little bit” of The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine, and tuned into the second season of The Real Housewives of Dubai, Teresa said she has “no [regrets]” about putting her kids on television.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on hiatus.
