Just when we thought Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules was close to coming to fruition, here comes an insider close to production claiming that everything is falling apart.
In a new report, a source claimed that the future of the show is once again at risk. This time, the word on the street is that certain cast members are caught up in salary negotiations. Nobody wants to budge and things have allegedly come to a halt. But, is there actually any truth to these rumors? We’re not so sure.
Is Vanderpump Rules ever coming back for Season 12?
The report about VPR’s production coming to a standstill arrived via Daily Mail. When it comes to legitimacy, their “insiders” can be pretty hit or miss. However, their latest source has claimed to be close to production. They said that Season 12 might be the end of the show. That is if they can even get it off the ground.
“There’s so many issues between various cast members and it’s no longer an organic group of friends that want to hang out with each other,” the source claimed.
Of course, we’ve already seen a little bit of that in the last season. We all know there’s no legitimate reason for Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix to hang out together. How does the show continue when there’s a rift that can be fixed?
“In the past, they’ve been able to come back from some of the worst fights imaginable so there’s still hope that they can all move forward and have a fresh start,” the source continued.
They added, “Nothing has been decided yet as far as the future of the show, but it can’t continue this way so things are definitely going to change.”
Salary negotiations, new cast members, and an uncertain future
According to another production source, one of the biggest issues impacting Vanderpump Rules Season 12 is that certain cast members are playing hardball with their salary negotiations. We know the core cast members got a pay raise after Scandoval made them a global phenomenon. Now, they’re supposedly looking for another raise.
“They’re still negotiating with a few stars who are holding out for more money and are unwilling to compromise,” a source claimed.
Meanwhile, the producers are supposedly scouring Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants looking for fresh faces to usher in a new era for the show. They said there were plenty of “desperate” people looking to join the show. Not only would that be cheaper from a production standpoint, but it would also bring the show back to its origins.
Of course, we have to take this “insider info” with a grain of salt for now. Until we hear it from Bravo, it’s all hearsay.
