While portions of the roster have already reported for training camp, things are set to get real this week, with veteran members of the Seattle Seahawks set to report Tuesday. That will mean the team has its entire roster in house and ready to prepare for the first season of the Mike Macdonald era after rookies and injured players reported last week.
As the players enjoy the final moments of their summer break, the front office is busy continuing its processes of looking under every rock to potentially help the roster, and according to a report Monday, the team is set to host a free agent offensive lineman.
As Adam Schefter notes, Connor Williams has spent time with both the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins during his career, and had started 26 games for Miami before tearing his ACL in a Week 14 showdown against the Tennessee Titans last December.
Williams was primarily a left guard in Dallas (with some snaps at right guard in his rookie season). When he signed with Miami on a two-year contract in 2022, Williams was shifted to center full-time. Prior to his injury, he posted a career-best 86.5 PFF grade and allowed only four pressures.
Still just 27 years old, Williams could be an interesting addition to Seattle’s interior offensive line competition.
