Tom Brady's pending status as part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly isn't expected to have a sizable impact on his role as the main NFL color analyst on Fox during the 2024 season.

According to Ben Strauss and Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the NFL plans to be "pragmatic" in how it handles comments Brady makes on the Fox broadcast by taking them "in context."

A source familiar with the situation told Strauss and Maske there are expected to be "some conditions" placed on Brady that wouldn't be on a normal commentator, but they are "not anticipated" to be significant.

Raiders owner Mark Davis announced in May 2023 that he and Brady had reached an agreement for Brady to become part of the franchise's ownership group, but it has yet to be fully approved by the league.

Last week, the NFL announced a specific set of rules Brady will have to play by the differs from other broadcasters.

Per ESPN's Seth Wickersham, Brady cannot be present in other teams' facilities, he cannot be present of practices and he cannot attend production meetings.

Announcers typically meet with key members of teams, including players and coaches, leading up to the game they call in order to provide context and details throughout a broadcast.

Since Brady is moving toward having an ownership role with the Raiders, it could be considered a conflict of interests for him to have inside information about other teams across the league.

Even so, Strauss and Maske noted that the limitations should not prevent Brady from performing well in his new job, nor will they result in the NFL being "heavy-handed" in how it monitors his comments.

Brady, 47, is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback and player in NFL history thanks to his record seven Super Bowl wins and five Super Bowl MVP awards during his time with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After retiring from the NFL at the conclusion of the 2022 season, the future Hall of Famer agreed to a 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with Fox, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.

Brady took all of 2023 off before jumping into his new gig in 2024 and assuming the position of Fox's No. 1 analyst alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt.

His first chance to impress in his new role will come Sunday when Brady and Burkhardt call the clash between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.
