The New York Giants are reportedly bringing back veteran wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey.

Art Stapleton of USA TODAY was the first to report the news.

Humphery, a 6-foot-4, six-year veteran was signed as a free agent on March 21 but released last week to create roster room as the team ran its rookie minicamp.

The coaches likely didn't see much from the rookie wideouts over the weekend and decided to get Humphery back in the fold before another team showed interest.

The Giants are seeking depth among their wide receiver ranks behind starters Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Darius Slayton. They signed a total of five wideouts in the undrafted free agent market earlier this month.
