REPORT: Former Green Bay Packers QB Gives Huge Praise To Bears

The Green Bay Packers will have their work cutout for them in the NFC North going forward.  The 2024 season figures to be a battle between the Lions and the Packers for the top spot.  However, if the 2024 NFL Draft pans out for the Vikings and Bears, all four teams could be competitive in the very near future.

Chicago had two draft picks in the top 10 thanks to a Carolina Panthers trade.  One of those picks caught the attention of a former Packers QB.

When the question was posed “how high of a ceiling does new Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze have,” Benkert had a response:

Odunze, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is expected to play a key role in the Bears’ offense. In March, the Bears acquired six-time Pro Bowler Keenan Allen from the Chargers. The Bears are also returning #1 receiver DJ Moore. Throw Odunze into the mix and it’s suddenly a very deep and talented group.

Odunze and Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams have already developed a strong relationship. During veteran minicamp this week, Odunze demonstrated his abilities to the rest of the Bears’ offense.

“Rome looks great,” Allen said. “He’s a guy who stepped in, he’s been with the ones right off the bat and running around pretty good. His routes, he knows what he’s doing, his responsibilities, and that’s huge. First coming in, we haven’t even got to training camp and he already kind of knows where to go, where to line up, where to be at. So that’s huge.”

It will be interesting to see what type of noise the Bears can make this season and going forward.  Do they finally have a franchise quarterback?
