Recent Instagram Story could potentially bring great news for Las Vegas Raiders defense in 2025

The Las Vegas Raiders are already going to be starting the 2025 season behind the eight ball, for a few reasons, too. But every reason will be used as fuel to the fire in their quest to get back to the postseason, which is more than doable this year.

What Should Raiders' Defense Realistically Do in 2025?

From no one believing in them, to already having pre-season injuries, the Raiders are slated to upset a lot of people who are doubting them. As of right now, it's looking like one of their best players, especially one of their best on the defensive side of the ball. And that certainly doesn't help outside expectations, even though the Raiders don't care about that.

But, regarding that issue, the Raiders could very well be getting great news soon.

Earlier this week, the Raiders placed Christian Wilkins on the PUP list, or the Physically Unable to Perform list, just before he was due to report to training camp. With training camp this week, and until the season really starts, the move allows the Raiders to get a look at other defensive tackles at camp, like their two rookies they drafted, or others they decide to bring in for tryouts.

But, they may not have to look too long, as some recent pictures on social media would say that Wilkins could be on the PUP list for a pretty short amount of time.

Raiders DT Christian Wilkins seen without boot on

When mandatory minicamp was underway, Wilkins was seen in a boot. And, there were rumors of this for a while before that, too. But this week, there was a post on social media that shows Wilkins with his boot off.

And that could mean good news, that he's progressing in his rehab.

Alex Bachman, a Raiders wide receiver, posted on his Instagram Story a picture of Wilkins and him in the Raiders gym, with Wilkins not having a boot on. Now, he did have a croc shoe on his left foot and no shoe on at all on his right foot.

This could be great news for the Raiders, as they will need him in their division against teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers. Working their way up the ladder of the AFC West is how they will get back to the postseason.
