Ravens Offensive Rankings Soars Entering Third Year Under Todd Modken

The Baltimore Ravens offense has become one of the most explosive units in the league under offensive coordinator Todd Monken over the last two years.

This has one NFL analyst thinking the Ravens’ offense is still positioned to be an elite group entering the 2025 NFL season.

Lamar Jackson is poised to reset the market when he and the Ravens agree on an extension, according to NFL.com's Anthony Holzman-Escareno.

Ravens’ Offense Ranked Second By PFSN Entering 2025 NFL Season

Kyle Soppe of Pro Football & Sports Network recently ranked all 32 offenses entering the upcoming 2025 NFL season and placed the Baltimore Ravens in second behind just the Detroit Lions entering the team’s third year under offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Soppe wrote, “What the Ravens did in the second year under Todd Monken gets brushed aside a bit due to what the Lions accomplished and Baltimore’s lack of postseason success. But they are coming off of the sixth-best season on file and improved their grade by 12.9 points from 2023.”

When you talk about the Baltimore Ravens offense, you have to start by discussing the greatness we’ve seen from Lamar Jackson.

Jackson posted career highs with 4,172 yards and 41 touchdown passes last year, which ironically is not one of his two MVP seasons, which speaks to his growth as a passer since entering the NFL back in 2018.

Jackson is still a dynamic runner, which makes this offense one of the most difficult to deal with in the league. The Louisville product rushed for 915 yards and four scores last season while posting the third-highest yards per carry (YPC) mark of his career at 6.58.

In other words, Jackson is still at the peak of his powers physically and continues to get better and better as a passer.

When you combine Jackson’s greatness with Derrick Henry’s 1,921 rushing yards and 16 rushing scores at the age of 30… then you truly have a combination that most NFL defenses simply can’t stop.

Henry was coming off of one of the worst years of his excellent career with a career-low 4.17 YPC during his final year with the Tennessee Titans in 2023. Yet, he definitively proved that he has plenty of great football left in him with another Pro Bowl season in 2024.

Does the Lack of a Surefire WR1 Limit Even Matter for this Offense in 2025?

The Ravens’ passing offense may have reached new heights under Lamar Jackson last year, but they did so while spreading the ball around quite a bit.

Zay Flowers led the team with 74 receptions and 1,059 receiving yards, but ceded a ton of red zone work to Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Isaiah Likely in 2024.

Soppe added, “The sky is the limit for an offense that has yet to boast an alpha WR1 (T-30th in receptions by the position last year) and is promising big things from the underused Isaiah Likely in the season ahead.”

The addition of DeAndre Hopkins feels a bit overlooked due to the veteran’s lack of impact with the Kansas City Chiefs last season, but can still be a contributor to an already high-powered passing attack.

The Ravens’ offense is well-positioned to be one of the top scoring offenses in the league again in 2025.

If Jackson somehow manages to get even better than he was in 2024 this upcoming season, then the sky is truly the limit for this group.
