Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is coming off arguably the best individual season of his career.
He helped the Ravens win another AFC North title, finishing with 4,172 yards through the air, 41 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. He was the runner-up to Josh Allen in the MVP race after winning his second MVP for the 2023 season.
His passing yards and touchdowns were career highs, and Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken thinks he can be even better in 2025, which is scary. He's already a top-five quarterback in the league.
"The year that he had, I think he's still just scratching the surface of where he's headed," Monken said, via the Ravens website. "It may not statistically show up that way, but I know he's only the scratching the surface."
Jackson is already an elite quarterback, so this isn't something that other teams want to hear heading into the 2025 season. The way that he can buy so much time from inside and outside the pocket is second to none.
He has crazy mobility and a great arm, allowing him to do things that most other quarterbacks can't.
The next step for him and the Ravens is breaking through in a stacked AFC. They haven't been to a Super Bowl since the 2012 season when Joe Flacco was the quarterback.
They got to the AFC Championship Game during the 2023 season and hosted the Kansas City Chiefs at home but lost by seven, 17-10. It was their best shot at winning a Super Bowl since they won Super Bowl XLVII over the San Francisco 49ers during the 2012 season.
Their goal won't change in 2025 since they are in win-now mode and will be until Jackson is a lot older. Remember, he's still only 28 years old.
