Day one of NFL free agency has come and gone, and the Baltimore Ravens had a relatively quiet day. Aside from re-signing Ronnie Stanley before the market even kicked off, they didn’t bring back anyone else—or sign a single outside free agent.
Going into free agency, general manager Eric DeCosta knew cap space was tight, but sitting out completely? That wasn’t the expectation. Instead, Ravens fans got to watch as four key contributors walked out the door. Patrick Mekari, Brandon Stephens, Malik Harrison, and Chris Board all found new homes, leaving noticeable gaps on the depth chart.
Unfortunately, that means Baltimore’s draft needs just became a little clearer. They now have immediate holes to fill at cornerback, offensive line, and linebacker. With that in mind, it’s time for an updated mock draft based on the chaos of day one.
Ravens 3-round mock draft heading into Day 2 of free agency
1
James Pearce Jr.
Round 1: Pick 27 | Defensive End
Even with Odafe Oweh and Kyle Van Noy back, the Ravens need a true difference-maker off the edge. They finished second in the league in sacks last season, but their pass rush lacked a dominant, game-changing presence. James Pearce Jr. has the tools to be that guy.
At 6-foot-5, 243 pounds, Pearce Jr. has the length and burst to be a nightmare for offensive tackles. He’s an explosive athlete with the ability to convert speed into power, something the Ravens desperately need up front. He’s not a finished product, but Baltimore is the perfect place to develop his raw potential into something special.
2
Trey Amos
Round 2: Pick 59 | Cornerback
The Ravens needed cornerback help before Brandon Stephens bolted for the New York Jets. Now? It’s a full-blown priority. Nate Wiggins could slide into a CB1 role, but there’s no clear No. 2 option on the roster.
Enter Trey Amos. At 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Amos is a physical, athletic corner who thrives in press coverage. He’s got the size to battle bigger receivers and the versatility to play in both man and zone schemes. Baltimore needs a reliable outside corner, and Amos has the skill set to grow into that role.
3
Danny Stutsman
Round 3: Pick 91 | Linebacker
After losing Chris Board and Malik Harrison in free agency, the Ravens could use some reinforcements at linebacker. Trenton Simpson didn’t take the leap many expected in Year 2, leaving Roquan Smith without a clear running mate. That’s where Danny Stutsman comes in.
At 6-foot-4, 243 pounds, Stutsman has ideal size for a modern linebacker and brings plenty of speed to cover ground in zone coverage. He plays fast and aggressive, routinely blowing up run plays with his downhill instincts and ability to get into the backfield. Baltimore thrives on physical, high-IQ defenders, and Stutsman fits that mold perfectly. If developed properly, he could be a long-term answer alongside Smith.
The Ravens haven’t made any splashes in free agency, so this draft class is going to have to do a lot of the heavy lifting. Pearce Jr. could be the missing piece in their pass rush, Amos fills a massive hole at corner, and Stutsman gives them a young, athletic linebacker to develop next to Smith.
Baltimore’s offseason might not be flashy, but if they nail this draft, they’ll be just fine.
