Our rankings of quarterbacks that the Chiefs will play in 2025 are rolling along, as we go from No. 10 to No. 9.

This QB is a former Pro Bowler, but is coming off an injury-riddled 2024 season in which he could never build any momentum. Lets take a look. . .

Ranking QBs Chiefs will play in 2025: Former Pro Bowler is looking to regain his form, but has never beaten Kansas City

No. 9: Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence

It's been a strange run for Lawrence throughout his four-year NFL career. He struggled during his rookie seasons under incompetent head coach Urban Meyer, but showed some promise. After Meyer was fired, Lawrence took a big step forward in 2022, throwing for 4,114 yards and 25 touchdowns, also tacking on five rushing TDs.

Lawrence pulled off an incredible come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2022 wild-card playoff round after Jacksonville trailed by 27 points at one point. The next week, he and the Jaguars fell to Kansas City in the divisional round 27-20.

Lawrence had another solid year in 2023, but his interception total increased to 14, and Jacksonville won just eight games. In 2024, he won just two out of 10 games that he started, missed two games due to a shoulder injury, as well as the final five games of the season from a concussion.

As he enters his fifth year, Lawrence will look to get back on track towards establishing himself as one of the elite QBs in the league. He has all the physical tools, and new head coach Liam Coen will attempt to elevate his game like he was able to do with Baker Mayfield when he was offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.

The Chiefs will travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in Week 5 on Monday Night Football. Including the postseason matchup, Lawrence is 0-3 all time against Kansas City.
