According to the information that I am linking below, Matthew Stafford is 4-13 against Aaron Rodgers. Blame whatever you want, but the facts are the facts. Rodgers has kind of owned Stafford in their head-to head matchups.
Now, going into this Sunday the Los Angeles Rams have the better overall record, but I truly believe the New York Jets can win this game, and Rodgers has a another shot to reassert his dominance over Stafford.
We’ll see what happens. Please enjoy your Saturday, comment on whatever you want and have a great Saturday!
Matthew Stafford knows challenge of facing ‘all-time great’ Aaron Rodgers (sports.yahoo.com)
“Having faced Rodgers more than a dozen times before, Stafford knows it’s going to be a challenge on Sunday.
“It’s always a good battle,” Stafford said. “A ton of respect for him. Great player in this league, an all-time great, has unbelievable talent and has accomplished a bunch. It’s always a challenge going against him.”
Stafford couldn’t pinpoint one battle against Rodgers that stands out among the rest, which is understandable A) given the number of times they’ve played each other and B) his disappointing 4-13 record.”
Matthew Stafford Has Opportunity To Finish Unfinished Business Against Aaron Rodgers (lafbnetwork)
“Matthew Stafford’s mind is focused on 2024, as it should be. The Los Angeles Rams quarterback is hoping to lock up a playoff spot in one of the tightest divisional races in recent memory. However, while the focus is on 2024, the quarterback also has the ability to take care of some long-standing unfinished business.
The Rams quarterback faces the New York Jets and by extension, Aaron Rodgers. Long-time NFL fans can remember back to a time when Rodgers and Stafford would battle regularly. Many fans compared the two, often ranking Stafford below Rodgers.”
Rams vs. Jets injury report: LA fully healthy, NY star questionable (sports.yahoo.com)
“Health-wise, the Los Angeles Rams are in much different shape now than they were at the beginning of the season. For most teams, they’re dealing with more injuries this late in the year after being healthy early on, but it’s the opposite for the Rams.
In Week 16, they have no serious injury concerns to speak of. The only player to miss practice on Wednesday or Thursday was Tyler Higbee, and that was only due to an illness. Everyone else has practiced in some capacity, leading to an extremely short injury report.”
