The Los Angeles Rams (1-4) host the Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) for Week 7 of the NFL season. It’s fair to say neither team has gotten off to the start they wanted, and at about halfway through the season both squads have plenty of question marks amidst their losing records.
The Raiders recently traded away Davante Adams to the New York Jets. Las Vegas will also be starting Aidan O’Connell after recently benching Gardner Minshew who began their campaign as the number one quarterback. Are the Raiders in sell mode and would they consider moving on from Maxx Crosby? Regardless it looks like Crosby will be taking on LA this week, and he alone can wreck an offense.
Ironically for the Rams, as Adams leaves the Raiders, LA is hoping to get back Cooper Kupp. Sean McVay will continue to roll with Matthew Stafford while the defense under Chris Shula has shown improvement through their six games. This absolutely appears to be a winnable game for the Rams, and it might be a must win if LA hopes to stay in the playoff race.
If we’re being honest, it appears a winnable game for the Raiders too given how injured LA has been and given the team’s inability (so far) to stack wins.
Despite the negatives for the Rams, they should have a real shot to win this game, and rise to 2-4. When you are staring at a 1-5 or a 2-4 record, 2-4 might not look great, but it sure looks a lot better than 1-5.
Final score: Rams 27, Raiders 13
