Rams Have Made A Final Roster Decision With Stetson Bennett

The Los Angeles Rams hope to take another step forward in their attempt to be a legitimate force to be reckoned with in the NFC during the 2024 NFL season, which will lean heavily on the offense and veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Rams vs. Texans takeaways: Decision made on Stetson Bennett - Los Angeles Times

Last season, no one knew what to expect from the aging Rams, with Stafford not getting any younger while dealing with injuries over the last couple of years and superstar Aaron Donald ultimately playing his last year in the NFL.

Fortunately, the team saw another potential superstar emerge at the wide receiver position, with rookie Puka Nacua having a historic first season in the NFL, which helped the team go on to clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs.

With the team’s success being dependent on Stafford’s health, the Rams want to have some viable backups at the quarterback position, and it seems as though they have settled on Stetson Bennett after waiving Dresser Winn, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Although the team went out on got some insurance at the quarterback position during the NFL offseason by bringing in former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the Rams will have to start the season without the veteran journeyman, who will be serving a two-game suspension.

Hopefully, for Los Angeles, Stafford will be able to get the protection he needs up front to stay healthy and productive on the football field during the 2024 campaign, which could result in the Rams making another run at the postseason and potentially giving some of the best teams in the conference a run for their money.
