Geno Smith is new to Las Vegas.
The standout quarterback already knows his top target will be tight end Brock Bowers. But what about at wide receiver?
Jakobi Meyers is good, but not great. Tre Tucker doesn't have a full wideout skillset outside of his explosiveness.
The Raiders might need to pursue a trade. And Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox has a suggested target.
Knox wants the Raiders to go after Jets star Garrett Wilson.
Wilson is eligible for a contract extension and is seeking $30 million per year. Knox wonders if the Jets might rather trade Wilson and "reset the contract clock" with a new draftee.
Wilson is still just 24 and has already put up three 1,000-yard seasons.
It seems like the Jets would need a 2026 first-round pick, according to Knox.
Given that DK Metcalf just went for a second-rounder, that math adds up about right. It's a big price to pay for the Raiders, but they'd also get an established, big-time player.
Wilson might not love leaving his college teammate Justin Fields, who just joined the Jets.
But Pete Carroll, Smith, Bowers and company would love having Wilson in Vegas. We've heard it's a pretty fun place to spend some time.
