The Green Bay Packers scored big in the offseason by signing Josh Jacobs to a long-term deal with Jordan Love and company for the upcoming season. Turns out, the running back has expressed some frustration towards his former team over their mediocre culture.

Jacobs, a standout player from the University of Alabama, was originally chosen by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round (No. 24 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Over his five seasons with the Raiders, Jacobs made a significant impact, playing in 73 games with 72 starts. He amassed an impressive 5,545 rushing yards on 1,305 carries, averaging 4.2 yards per attempt, and scored 46 touchdowns. Additionally, he showcased his versatility by contributing 197 receptions for 1,448 yards.

The running back’s achievements extend to the postseason as well, where he started in the sole playoff game he participated in. During that game, he demonstrated his skills with 83 rushing yards on 13 carries, averaging an impressive 6.4 yards per attempt, and added four receptions for 44 yards.

Consistently performing at a high level, the new Green Bay Packers star ranked among the top five players in the league in various categories from 2019 to 2023, including rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, rushing first downs, yards from scrimmage, and 10-plus-yard runs. He stands alone as the only running back to have amassed over 1,100 yards from scrimmage and six or more scrimmage touchdowns in each of the last five seasons.

Even before playing his first game with the Packers, Josh is already looking to being a part of the organization. He also expressed his frustration towards the Raiders in a video shared by Green Light with Chris Long on X.

It’s not yet known which veteran came up to Jacobs to tell him about losing in the NFL. In any case, that moment didn’t sit right with the running back, making his move to Green Bay more appreciated.

It remains to be seen how Jacobs will perform as the Packers’ new running back when the season starts. For sure, he’s going to appreciate the winning culture being started in Green Bay by head coach Matt LaFleur and Jordan Love.
