The Las Vegas Raiders added two wide receivers to the roster in the NFL, as the team selected TCU's Jack Bech in Round 2 and Tennessee's Dont'e Thornton Jr. in Round 4.
Though Bech and Thornton have a ton of promise and could be instant contributors for the Raiders, Just Blog Baby's Brad Berreman believes Las Vegas shouldn't stop acquiring playmakers and should look to sign Cleveland Browns free agent wide receiver Elijah Moore.
"Moore still has the capability to be an effective wide receiver in the NFL, but he has found himself in two incredibly poor situations in his first four NFL seasons. It is a bit puzzling why Moore is still available, but Las Vegas can rectify this by giving him a shot to compete for a spot on the roster," Berreman wrote.
Moore hasn't been able to reach his full potential due to abysmal quarterback play. However, the Ole Miss product is coming off a decent 2024 campaign where he tallied a career-high 61 receptions and played all 17 games for the Browns.
Signing Moore would add some speed to the offense and also give Las Vegas more depth at the position. The 25-year-old could also be a valuable contributor on special teams and serve as a returner.
Additionally, Moore should be inexpensive to sign, as Spotrac projects the speedy wideout will land a one-year deal worth $4.5 million. The Raiders aren't paying any receiver big-time money, so general manager John Spytek should be able to pay that price.
Receiver is no longer a pressing need for Las Vegas after the draft, but Moore would still help out the offense and give quarterback Geno Smith a dynamic weapon who could be in for a long-awaited breakout season.
