Raiders DE Maxx Crosby Predicts Major Career Move for Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers was the NFL MVP as recently as the 2021 season but has fallen on hard times. He had a rough two-year stint with the New York Jets and is now a free agent.

He has been able to sign with a team for weeks but is taking his time making a decision. With the New York Giants signing Russell Wilson, the Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be the only realistic landing spot for the quarterback.

However, it's certainly raised some eyebrows that Rodgers still hasn't chosen to sign a contract with the team. In fact, there's a chance he might actually be done playing football.

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby previously endorsed the idea of his team signing Rodgers. Now that that's off the table, Crosby predicts that Rodgers will choose retirement over playing in Pittsburgh.

"I think he retires," Crosby said on the Thursday episode of "The Rush." "The fact that I think that he's not with Davante (Adams), he's not very familiar with Pittsburgh. I don't know, I feel like he retires. ... I can't see him in a Pittsburgh uniform."

Rodgers could be buying his time because he wants to see what the Steelers do in the draft but retirement is certainly on the table. He turns 42 during the season and has had a rocky couple of seasons.

The Steelers could be appealing enough for him to stick around for another season but it's unlikely he signs with them if they draft a quarterback in the first round.
