With limited draft capital, the Atlanta Falcons may explore how to bring in cornerback Jalen Ramsey due to his connection with Raheem Morris.
A trade to the Atlanta Falcons is a real possibility for Jalen Ramsey, but it comes with a few huge hurdles to climb.
The Falcons have been looking to add depth on the defensive side of the ball. Not just bodies to fill gaps, but athletes who can still play and contribute to what the team is trying to build in a more aggressive style of play.
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris has had a strong connection with Jalen Ramsey since their time together with the Los Angeles Rams. On paper and financially, the move doesn't look easy. Such names exist that could also provide veteran leadership for Atlanta, such as Trey Hendrickson of the Cincinnati Bengals. But the Falcons aren't in a great position to offer much in return.

The Dolphins will likely want draft capital, and the Falcons are limited in that regard for 2025. Atlanta has given up its 2026 first-round draft pick by trading back into this year's first round to select edge rusher James Pearce Jr.
This may keep the Falcons from exploring a trade, but the notion cannot be completely ruled out. Raheem Morris has the utmost respect for Ramsey, and Ramsey loved playing for Morris. If the Miami Dolphins would settle for a couple of day two picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, a deal could get done.
Atlanta is already short on picks in 2026, with five in total. Atlanta drafted Xavier Watts and Billy Bowman to shore up the secondary and brought in Cobee Bryant as a UDFA, who may have the best chance of making the active roster out of all the UDFA's. Bryant went undrafted on draft night from the Kansas Jayhawks after being projected as a day two or three pick.
With the Atlanta Falcons in win-now mode, nothing can be ruled out if the team wishes to use a couple more veterans on defense.
