It’s hard to believe, but Vanderpump Rules has a new cast. It seemed like the show would go on forever with OGs such as Scheana Shay and Tom Sandoval, but after over a decade, it was time for a fresh start. Season 12 will feature a brand-new crew with big shoes to fill. So, who is this new cast? And when does VPR come back? Producer Alex Baskin has some piping hot tea on the cast and season to come.

So far we haven’t had any major spoilers regarding the new season of VPR. Scheana mentioned she gave some advice to the new SURvers, but she didn’t spill on exactly what was said. Lisa Vanderpump gave a little bit of tea when she mentioned the group included some “very interesting characters.”
We do know that it’s a brand new crew, minus Peter Madrigal of course. Because, unlike the other OGs, Peter legit still works there. Let’s just hope he’s still not the first person the new girls date when they start working at SUR.

Alex spilled the tea on the new season of VPR on Season 1, Episode 4 of Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo with Kate Chastain. He shared, “It’s getting back to sort of the foundational principles of the show. It’s a group of people who really work at the restaurant and are besties, live together, going through a really fun phase of their life together.”
He also noted that the new season was “a thrill” to build. Just don’t call it a reboot. Alex gave a little more info about what that meant when he was on Two Ts in A Pod.
Alex said, “I don’t really consider it a reboot. I think that’s the word that’s been thrown around. My view is it’s a brand-new group that work at the restaurant, and so it’s a new series that carries on the legacy of the original.”
Here’s to hoping the new season will debut sometime this year, because we are so ready for it.
