This offseason, the Chicago Bears have made all the right moves so far. Hiring Ben Johnson is, of course, the biggest of all moves. But, that's where it started.
Since then, Johnson has put together a strong staff in Chicago and the expectations are starting to grow once again. Hope is now flowing abundantly. The vibes are good.
For a division rival, that can't exactly be echoed. The Green Bay Packers had a good season, overall, and made the playoffs. However, even the big addition of Josh Jacobs couldn't stop an early playoff exit for the Packers.
Speaking of Jacobs, he made some significant headlines on Wednesday during the frenzy that is Super Bowl 59 Radio Row.
On the same day Jacobs let it be known he'd welcome Davante Adams back to Green Bay, he also stated that the Packers need a true number one wide receiver in another interview. They were words which plenty of Packer fans have been saying for a while, now.
Unfortunately, Jacobs' teammate, wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks, just so happened to stumble upon video of this interview.
Via his social media account, Wicks reposted the video with four laughing/crying emojis followed by a thumbs down. No words, just emojis.
Josh Jacobs threw his teammates under the bus and Bears fans are loving every bit of it
If we're reading between the lines, here, it appears as though Wicks thinks Jacobs' opinion on the wide receiver room is comical and wrong. If there is any other way to read it, please, feel free and enlighten us.
But, that sure looks like a disgruntled or frustrated teammate, and if I'm a Packer fan, I'm shaking my head. After an early postseason exit in a game where quarterback Jordan Love looked like less than a franchise quarterback, Green Bay has plenty of questions to answer, with one of them revolving around Love and that contract.
Did the NFL figure him out? Was Love actually worth the money? Are the Packers going to be stuck at being "good enough" but never get over the hump?

All of these are worthy questions to ask. But, above all else, the Packers do need help at wide receiver. It's clear they do not have a true no. 1 option, and Jacobs is simply pointing out the blatant truth.
For Bears fans seeing Wicks' response, it's purely funny. There's no other way to describe it other than hilarious, if you're a Chicago fan. Everything seems to be going right for the Bears, early in the offseason, and the Packers can't exactly say the same.
While the Bears are undefeated against the Packers in 2025, Green Bay appears to potentially be at war within themselves.
For the sake of locker room culture and continuity, we'll see if Jacobs walks back his words later on and offers either an apology or a further explanation of an opinion everybody already knew to be true.
