The New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons on Saturday at Madison Square Garden to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series in the NBA playoffs.
The Knicks outscored the Pistons 40-21 in the fourth quarter to win the game with a final score of 123-112.
New York was led in scoring by All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson, who finished with 34 points in 40 minutes while shooting 12-of-27 from the field, 2-of-5 from beyond the arc and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Game 2 between the Pistons and Knicks is on Monday and some subtle shade has already been thrown at Brunson.
After practice on Sunday, Pistons forward Ausar Thompson said Brunson does a lot of "selling" to get foul calls.
