We are just weeks away from the new NBA season and there are many things we don’t know about 2024-25.
But everyone can agree that the Philadelphia 76ers will be under a lot of scrutiny.
This is because they made some big offseason changes, including the addition of Paul George.
To hype up the fans, the 76ers posted a video of George working out in the gym.
Under a mural of Allen Iverson, George was pouring sweat and pushing himself as he prepared to make Sixers fans happy.
How satisfied will they be?
George can bring a lot to Philadelphia.
Last season, he averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the Los Angeles Clippers.
It was yet another year of George being consistent and productive, even though the team struggled and eventually fell apart again in the playoffs.
Many people think George could be the missing piece the 76ers have needed.
Of course, if that doesn’t end up being the case, they will be very disappointed.
For years now, people have been waiting to see the Sixers really deliver on all their promises and go far in the postseason.
They want to see what Joel Embiid and his team can do in the Eastern Conference Finals or when fighting for a championship.
With George, the 76ers are poised to be one of the best teams in their conference.
Of course, the same thing was said when James Harden joined them and everyone knows how that turned out.
George is obviously pushing himself hard and planning for great things in 2024-25.
Will this finally be the year the 76ers go the distance?
