Patriots' struggling receiver breaks silence in four-word video post

New England Patriots wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk shared a workout video of himself doing lunges, while still on the mend from the shoulder injury that kept him out of the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills.

Things have been quiet on Polk’s end since the season ended. It was a disappointing rookie campaign for the former University of Washington standout, who was drafted in the second round in 2024 and only mustered 12 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

He never found his groove in the Patriots’ revamped offense under Alex Van Pelt. However, he’s hopeful that will change in 2025. In his workout video, he posted, “That get back year.”

Polk breaking out in 2025 would benefit the Patriots greatly considering their ongoing struggles at the wide receiver position.

Even under a new regime, the team is likely banking on coach Mike Vrabel, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and the new staff getting more out of Polk and other receivers on the roster.
