Despite having a subpar regular season last year, at least by their standards, the Kansas City Chiefs were able to go on to win back-to-back Super Bowl titles, with Patrick Mahomes and company getting the best of the San Francisco 49ers in overtime in the big game last February.

Even though the team became the first team since Tom Brady’s New England Patrick to win Super Bowl titles in consecutive seasons, the Chiefs were sorely lacking in the wide receiver department, as they still haven’t been able to find a true successor to superstar Tyreek Hill, who they traded to the Miami Dolphins a couple of years ago.

Although Rashee Rice showed some promise last season, that has all been overshadowed by his inability to stay out of trouble during this NFL offseason, which has been a problem for many Chiefs players over the last few months.

Fortunately for Kansas City, the team has been able to bring in an upgrade at wide receiver with the signing of veteran wideout Marquise Brown and was also able to land a promising young talent in rookie Xavier Worthy out of the University of Texas.

Worthy became a household name in the NFL even before stepping on the football field for the Chiefs, as he recently set the record for the fastest 40-yard dash in league history.

With Worthy having blazing speed, many have been anxious to see what he can do with Mahomes passing him the football, and the Chiefs’ Twitter account gave everyone a taste of that on Sunday.

If Worthy can become the deep threat that the Chiefs have been missing since Hill’s departure, Kansas City could be a high-powered offense once again next season, which is a scary prospect for their opponents in 2024.

Kansas City will try to make history during this upcoming season as they want to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.
